Read over all study guides for the quizzes.
If I were you I would study for fifteen minutes a day. I would get on the computer and study each day, even on Saturday on Sunday rather than try to learn all the night before.
Two parts to the exam.
First part: Online Chapter
-Has 2 short answers
1 Fill in the blank
11 Multiple Choice Questions
15 True and False
Know the names of early computers, who invented them, and what is so important about them.
Know what part ushered the second, third, and fourth generation computers.
Know basic internet terms (ex ISP)
Convert binary to base ten, base, the number system in computers.
Charles Babbage and Ada Byron
Know what a network, firewall, cookie, and topology are.
There is a good amount of questions about programming languages.
Know the name of the computer and who invented it.
Second Part: 1st chapter of book
-Has 10 multiple choice questions
10 Completion (Fill in the Blank)
3 Short Answer
24 True and False

Know each application in Microsoft Office and what they are used for (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.)
All of these things should be found in the study guides you took for the quizzes.
Know what input and output devices are.
Know what hardware and software is.
Know what the basic Windows interface items are.
Know what a shortcut and the keyboard accelerator are.
Know what multitasking is.
Know about file names and how to organize them into folders.
Know input devices.
Know the basic interfaces of windows.
Know file extensions.
